Publishing on Serials
Put your novel where anyone can read it — chapter by chapter, on your terms.
A web novel is written to be read along with, and Serials is where that happens: publish a novel and anyone with the link can read it — no account, no app, and it reads properly on a phone.
Publishing opens at chapter one
The moment your first chapter is accepted, the Publishing panel appears in Novel settings. Preview shows you exactly the pages a reader will see before anything is visible to one; Publish makes it real and gives you the link to share. Pick a pen name if you like — the byline is whatever you choose, or simply “Anonymous”, and your account is never shown.
Release on your own rhythm
Serials are sequential: readers see chapters one to wherever you have published, and nothing beyond. Tick publish each chapter as it’s accepted and the story goes out as you write it, the way a serial author posts. Leave it off and you can accept chapters privately, then push the published mark forward when an arc is ready to land in one go. Drafts are never public either way.
The cover
Every serial wears a cover on the shelf. Upload an image, or generate one with AI from the Publishing panel — it uses your own key, costs a couple of cents, and composes a prompt from your title and first chapter if you do not feel like writing one. Pick an art theme if you like (epic fantasy, anime, watercolour and a few more), and choose between the standard model and a best-quality one when a cover deserves the extra spend. Skip all of it and your novel keeps the typographic cover it was born with, which is a design rather than a placeholder.
Readers can talk back
Each chapter carries a comment thread, open to anyone with a name they choose to type. You can delete any comment on your own serial from the reader view while signed in. Comments are plain text and rate-limited, so the thread stays a conversation.
Mature content, labelled
Mark a serial as mature in the Publishing panel and every reader meets a clear warning before the first page. You decide what your story contains; readers decide with their eyes open.
Changing your mind
Publishing is a switch, not a contract. Unpublish takes the public link dark immediately; publish again later and the same link comes back to life, so anything readers bookmarked still works. Hidden novels are the one exception — a novel in the PIN vault cannot be published, and hiding a published novel unpublishes it in the same motion.
